Serpens seen with ISOCAM

Last update 19.09.2000 by Anlaug Amanda Kaas

ISOCAM 6.7 and 14.3 micron colour coded image of the Serpens Cloud Core. This image shows a 13' by 13' field with North up and East left. Young stars of Classical T Tauri type (or even younger) are coded red. Blue stars are those without observable circumstellar dust. The famous young double star SVS20, is the brightest red source in the field a bit to the SE of the centre. (See Kaas et al. 2000, ESA SP-445, 427 for details.)
