Pulsation-mode identification for the main mode in Balloon

For the mode-identification we use the model of Schrijvers & Telting (1998) to compute pulsational line-profile variations. For the simple fits we present below, we only account for the pulsational velocity field, and neglect the effects of temperature variations.

We fit the observables that are best determined: the radial-velocity amplitude and the mean line profile.

Strategy 1: for each mode tune the pulsational velocity amplitude to give an observable line-centroid radial-velocity of 15 km/s. The inclination is optimised for lowest pulsational velocity.

Strategy 2: the Gaussian line broadening is optimised to fit the average spectrum.
